Pender Island is such a great connected community with lots of very talented local artists.  Saturday morning market at the community hall is very popular and Wednesdays the local food market occurs at the hall as well.

The weather is sub-Mediterranean climate and has warm lovely summers.  The pool can be opened til late fall weather permitting.  There are lots of events, artist crawls, musical events, roadside stands from bread to cheesecake, artist galleries, restaurants, pubs, food trucks, Sea Star winery and Twin Ciders cidery.  Our celebrity artist Daniel Lapp will often play at different venues and events on the island.

There are lots of activities to choose from, golf, disc golf, cycling, water sports, hiking and swimming.  There are resident seals that like to visit the bay along with otter families and sometimes whales will pop in for a visit.
